FAQs

  1. Can a revenue inspector or train guard request and validate my e-ticket when I’m on a service? products-faq-angle-arrow.svg products-faq-angle-arrow-purple.svg

Yes, revenue inspectors and train guards carry devices capable of validating e-tickets.
  2. When is my Railcard valid? products-faq-angle-arrow.svg products-faq-angle-arrow-purple.svg

Please note that the terms and conditions of use for individual Railcards and Rover tickets have not changed following the introduction of our new fares model on 3 December. However, our morning peak times have been slightly revised and a new evening peak added, so please do check before you travel to see which services your Railcard discount can be applied to. For full details of Railcards and Railcard restrictions please go to railcard.co.uk/about-railcards.
  3. Can I purchase my weekly, monthly, annual or Flexi-season tickets as an e-ticket? products-faq-angle-arrow.svg products-faq-angle-arrow-purple.svg

No, e-tickets on c2c services are currently only available for Single and Return tickets. For season tickets we recommend a c2c Smartcard. We do not currently offer "s-tickets" (season tickets presented as e-tickets). We are always reviewing ticket availability and may change this in future.
